that quote above is from kung fu panda.
i saw it in the theater this afternoon with my mom and daughter and it was super funny, like "almost peed in my pants on several occasions" funny.
my favorite quote from the movie....
"I just ate... so my kung fu may not be as good as later on."
you have to see it though and hear jack black say it. he was so perfect for that part.
there are actually so many i could list them all day if i could actually remember them.
so good.
seriously.
go watch it.
i was just editing a little mini session that i photographed a few weeks ago and just love this image.
his expression is so sweet and i really like how he is playing with his moms hair and the sun light is coming through it. also i just love how she is looking at her son. lots of love right there:)

so my website is under construction right now and i have a new blog in the works.
oh yeah.
i am so excited about all of these changes that i am working on that i can not sleep at night.
eeeeek.
its driving me crazy!
i close my eyes and dream about photoshop and background colors for my blog.
pa..the...tic.
i will also be changing a few other things around here at the kimbrali photography head quarters :)
1. prices are moving on up. not too much for now though. starting prices will now begin at $15 for a 5x7.
2. there will now be a minimum purchase requirement of $300.
3. policies will be put into effect. now when i say that you have 2 weeks to place your order....i really mean it :)
4. session fees will now be due when you book your session instead of the day of your session. this can either be paid by mailing a check or by paying by credit card online. if your session fee is not recieved within 3 days of booking your session, your date is open to others.
5. no more photographing sessions on sundays.
i think thats about it for now.
keep checking back for my BIG beautiful brand spankin new blog!
and some from a session a few weeks ago.
i love flying babies.

just sharing a little randomness from the last week of my life.
first off, my favorite sisters in the whole wide world, erin and kelly, drove in from the great state of oklahoma for a few days because erin is moving to canada.
a little sad but im happy for her new adventure.
i will definitely be renewing my passport for a trip to see her in montreal soon.
fun fun.
i passed by a fun jump/moonwalk rental place on the way to my parents house to go hang with the family and decided we had to get one for a big kids fun day.
we did.
it was awesome.
we spent the entire day in the pool and on the slide.
very very sore the next day though.

my wild boy beating up his gammy.

we ate some yummy food too.
props to me for making some kick ass cajun potato salad:)

i love this image of erin.
you can just hear her laughter.

a little water slide action!
that is my pops to the right.
as i stated in the previous post.....coolest 50+ dad around :)
then we headed to houston for a few days to go to a few astros games.
the yankees spanked them but i dont care. it was luck.
there were more new york fans in minute maid park than there were texas fans and i wanted to walk around the stadium and individually slap each and every one of them.
where did the texan pride go you people!?!
ugh.
it was an awesome few days none the less.

and some alone time with my hubby at one of the games.
excuse his hair.
he allowed our 6 year old daughter to color it for him.
REAL smart.
we brought the kiddos along to the second game and my husband caught a ball during batting practice.
he tries to act all cool but he was so excited.
it was my sons first yankees game and my husband is a die hard fan.
i still dont like them:)

happy fathers day to my wonderful dad!
im so blessed to have you in my life for so many reasons. thank you for being so supportive of every decision that i make and being my "tied for number 1" biggest fan. (didn't want to piss off mom right there:)
you are the coolest 50+ man around and although you work entirely too hard and are known for being the serious "business man", i am so glad that i know the real you and get to hang out with your extreme weirdness on a regular basis. you are the best pops a girl could ever ask for and i love you more than you could ever know.
see you in a few days!

i was checking my aol email just now and this story popped up about an "uncontacted" indian tribe in brazil.
you should go look at the photos and read the article here.
i just think this is incredible.
they have no idea what an airplane is so they must have been scared out of their minds but instead of running or hiding they lift up their bow and arrows to defend their small tribe.
i hope that they remain "uncontacted" but doubt that with our insanely curious world.
i bet they will be all over national geographic by the end of the year.
amazing.

my mom is in texas right now with the rest of my family and im feeling a tad bummed being that this will be the first mothers day ever in my 25 years that i have not been with her.
so i figured id put together a little list of things that make my mom so amazingly awesome and lovable.
- she honestly believes that i am the most beautiful girl in the world.
no matter now much weight i gain, no matter how frizzy my hair is or how frumpy i am dressed or how disgusting i KNOW that i look, she still tells me how beautiful i am. how great is that!?!
and i can tell she means it! which is the best part:)
- she is so selfless that it is just ridiculous.
she is always ALWAYS thinking of others before herself.
here is a silly quote that i have read in the past that reminds me of my mom -
"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." - Tenneva Jordan
she has done this very thing many many times in my life:)
-she marches to the beat of her own drum.
she is unlike any of the other moms in the small town where she lives and i thank god for it!!!
i am so glad to have had an example like that growing up. i might not have appreciated it then but i sure do now.
- she was, is, and always will be my friend but never felt like she had to be my best friend. when i was in high school it would have been much easier for her to just let me do what i wanted and to have been the "cool mom" but she knew when it was more important to be my mother. she gave me a curfew and punished me even when i told her i hated her for it. (sorry about that)
- when i was in 6th grade my group of friends would take turns every friday bringing in outside food for us all to eat in the cafeteria for lunch. i had totally forgotten the day that it was my turn and i remember calling my mom at work, which was at least 30 minutes away from my school, just before lunch panicking and demanding that she bring me food right away. she could have just told me no but instead she hauled ass to pick up some pizza and get it to us in time.
i probably didnt even tell her thank you.
so thank you mom. i didnt forget about that although you probably did;)
- she mows her own grass:) at least most of the time she does even though mostly everyone else in her neighborhood has a "yard man"
- she gives killer back rubs and will give them even when her own back is hurting.
- she can sing somewhere over the rainbow really really pretty and used to sing it to me a lot when i was a little girl.
- she watches judge judy religiously which i just think is so cute.
so i miss you mom and i hope you have a wonderful mothers day.
and remember..................i love you morestestest and always willestestest.
here is a little something raeleigh put together this week after school. the quality is complete crap because it was recorded using my point and shoot digital camera which raeleigh dropped on the marble floor at our hotel in new orleans a few weeks ago:) i thought it might make you smile anyways.
she says she is going to be a rock star. i believe her.
she is so awesome.

i was channel surfing this afternoon with my son and stumbled across hip hop harry.
you have got to be kidding me.
anyways................
in other news, raeleigh learned to ride her bike this week.
it was such a big deal!
she was so proud.
my husband and son make this exact same face when concentrating. that tongue is always sticking out!
now we just need to teach her how to tie her shoelaces:)

as seen by raeleigh.
my daughter decided tonight that she wanted to draw a picture of our family on her super cool new art easel from ikea.
i pinky promise that i gave her absolutely no direction at all with this drawing.
this was 100% all raeleigh wyn's idea.
that is me on the left.
her by my side.
beckett hanging from the chandelier.
and justin climbing on a table to get him.
so so so perfect.

my little photographer friend, melissa, and i had a funfilled akward photo shoot while we were in austin.
we both wanted updated photos for our websites and not just dorky self portraits like i already have on my site.
i now totally understand how incredibly uncomfortable it is to be photographed all alone.
we girls were so giggly and uncomfortable.
here is one that she took of me.
i love it.
its all out of focus and unphotoshopped but its just very "me".....and i think my hair looks pretty:)
those that know me well know that i rarely brush my hair so i went all out for this session and not only brushed it but curled it too. OH MY!
when i have time to look at the others i will PHOTOSHOP THE LIFE out of them and post a few for you all to see what i dont look like:)
*my husband was just watching ESPN or some crap like that and i heard coldplay's song clocks come on. i forgot how great that song is. it makes me so happy. definitely one of my top 3 fave songs of all time. you know...... just in case you ever were wondering what my fave songs were:)
